Investing Academy. Knowledge Supports Success. Visit now.

Welcome back to Navigators, where you'll find regular updates on new RBC Direct Investing features, timely reminders and useful tips to help you make the most of your investing experience.

First up in this edition is something we know you've been watching for: The ability to easily reorder the securities within your watchlists to suit your changing interests.

Watchlist reorganization made easy

You can now change the order of the securities within your watchlist by dragging and dropping securities to any position you like within your list. Once you open your watchlist page (click View & Manage Watchlists under My Portfolio or access it from the blue star widget found on every page), it's as easy as 1-2-3!

  1. Click the Edit Watchlist button at the top of your list
  2. Drag and drop securities to the position you want
  3. Click the Save button to set your new default view

You'll also find a handy tutorial at the top of your watchlist page if you need a quick reminder.

Fun fact: You can create up to 40 watchlists with 100 securities on each to ensure you catch the action on what matters to you. Any time you edit and save, this will become your new default view.

New watchlist sorting options

You may have also noticed two additional ways to sort your watchlists under the “Quote" tab on your watchlist page. You can sort by the date you added securities and by percentage change since being added. Just click on the sorting options across the top of your watchlist to update your view. And, coming soon, watch for the “date added" and “change since" options on the “Performance" tab as well.
