How to Access Your Account

2. Sign up for notifications

Email notifications and alerts put you in control of information that can help add convenience to managing your investments, and keep you updated about your accounts. You can control the categories you are signed up for, depending on your preferences.

Visit the Manage Notifications page under the My Portfolio menu to choose the types of notifications you'd like to receive, or update your email address. If you choose not to receive any notifications, you will still get important updates on the operation and maintenance of your account through email.

Important:As a securities dealer, we're required to have a current mailing address on file for all clients. If your mailing address changes, please visit Edit Profile & Preferences and select “Change Your Client Profile” to update it right away. This helps ensure that you can always access your account and never miss important written information like proxies and other notices.

3. Transfer funds into your account

Learn how to put money into your account by transferring cash or securities, or by redeeming RBC Rewards for cash contributions in your account.
