
1. Where can I find my transfer history?
Go to Trade & Transfer on the site menu, scroll to Transactions, then click on View Activity. Here you’ll find your cash and security transfer history for a period of 15 months.
2. Where can I check my orders?
To check the status of your orders, please go to Trade & Transfer on the site menu, scroll to Transactions, then click on View Order Status.
3. What's the difference between Submitted Transactions and Processed Transactions?
Submitted Transactions are transfers and transaction requests that are pending completion. You will note non-trade related requests such as:
- transferring cash from one currency to another (foreign exchange)
- transferring cash between RBC Direct Investing accounts
- transferring securities between RBC Direct Investing accounts
Processed Transactions are all transactions that have been processed and are reflected in your account balance, such as:
- transferring cash from one currency to another (foreign exchange)
- transferring cash between RBC Direct Investing accounts
- transferring securities between RBC Direct Investing accounts
- completed trades
- dividends or interest received
- company reorganizations (splits shares received etc.)
Once a transfer request has been completed, it appears under ‘Processed Transactions’ and no longer appears under ‘Submitted Transactions’.
4. Can I cancel or modify a transfer (cash or in-kind) request?
- To reverse a transaction in a non-registered investment account, please complete a new transfer, in reverse order of the original request.
- To reverse or modify a funds transfer request involving a registered account, please call us at 1-800-769-2560 or send us a secure message request.
5. Can I cancel or modify a foreign exchange request?
- Foreign exchange requests processed during foreign exchange hours (approximately 7:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. EST on Canadian and US business days) cannot be cancelled or reversed.
- Foreign exchange requests placed outside these hours or on weekends/holidays will show as pending and can be cancelled. Under Trade & Transfer on the site menu, scroll down to Transactions and click on View Activity. Go to the Submitted Transactions section on the View Activity page to cancel a pending foreign exchange request.
- Once processed, a transaction cannot be cancelled.
