Investing Academy. Knowledge Supports Success. Visit now.

The new, advanced Trading Dashboard continues to evolve with a number of recent enhancements that now make it easier for you to trade and monitor the markets and your investments.

NEW! DASHBOARD FEATURES

  • Heatmap view. You can now get a quick visual snapshot of gainers and losers using the new heatmap view in the advanced Trading Dashboard. How? Select a portfolio, watchlist, predefined list or index. Once open, select the hamburger menu (the icon with stacked horizontal lines) in the top-left corner and hover over “open symbols in" or “open index constituents" to select the Heatmap view.
  • Quick-Start Dashboard Setups. Want to get started with pre-populated views without the need to customize? When you first launch the new Trading Dashboard, or when you open a workspace, the Hub (the three-pronged icon in the top menu of the Trading Dashboard) offers you a new collection of quick-start widgets. Choose 'Overview', 'Trade' or 'Advanced' for an easy way to get comfortable using the Trading Dashboard, or to get ideas for your own workspaces. (Quick tip: Reduce the zoom setting on your web browser to see more of each workspace.)
  • More Resources in French. To support users of the French Trading Dashboard platform, you can now find a comprehensive list of French-language tutorial guides under the Tutorials menu on the left-hand side of the main screen of the advanced Trading Dashboard. (Quick tip: Use the Settings menu to easily set your language preferences.)

COMING SOON

The refreshed online order entry page for stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that we told you about in our last Navigators will soon be expanded to the mutual fund order entry page. Watch for the same streamlined look and feel, integrated information and intuitive trade flow in the days ahead.

DID YOU KNOW?

Rising interest rates means interest rates on margin loans also increase. With margin accounts, this usually means you have to pay more to leverage (or borrow) against your existing investments. Find out more about margin in Understanding Margin Accounts and What You Need to Know About Rising Interest Rates and Your Investments.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

Watchlist reorganization made easy. You can change the order of the securities within your watchlist by dragging and dropping them to any position within your list. Once you open your watchlist page (click View & Manage Watchlists under My Portfolio or access it from the blue star widget found on every page), it's as easy as 1-2-3!

  1. Click the Edit Watchlist button at the top of your list
  2. Drag and drop securities to the position you want
  3. Click the Save button to set your new default view
