The Wealthy Barber has heard a lot of cottage-related nightmare stories over the years when it comes to estate planning. Instead of being an asset that should pull everyone together, cottages can often create family tension when being transitioned from one generation to the next.

How should you deal with your cottage from an estate-planning perspective? David Chilton, author of best-selling personal finance guides The Wealthy Barber and The Wealthy Barber Returns, and former dragon on CBC's Dragons' Den, has some tips that may help.
